Well the delegates have chosen their leaders to lead them into a new era under DS Najib. Lots of new faces and a lots of upset. My friends critizes me for following the political upheavel in UMNO and suggests to be apolitical. My contention is that politics is here to stay, the good and the bad, and we need to be aware as this will effect our next generations. They will either appreciate us or slam us for giving a bad political scene for them to live in when we are dead an d gone.
An observation of an armchair politician:
1) DS Najib has a lot of work to do. Lots of unpopular of decisions during Pak Lah administration, flip-flop decisions, money politics, economic recessions, bad management of GLC etc.Hope he is wise and strong enough.
2) Good Deputy President in Muhyiddin. Strong, calibre, able and team player. The only negative is that he looks a bit arrogant.
3) VP: My regret is that DS Khaled Nordin lost but overall good with old faces of Zahid Hamidi and Shafie Apdal flanking newbie Hishammuddin (new to the senior Umno)
3) MT: Good combination of 3 groups: a) The politicians
b) The intelectuals
c) The managements
I see that my senior at U, Datuk Dr Abdul Latif won. Congratulations
4) My only grouse is at Pemuda. How can a person leading up to the days leading to the assembly lost, not only lose but lose badly?. How can the Pemuda delegates elect somebody alleged to be corrupted (by Lembaga Disiplin but only given a slap on the wrist and banning Ali Rustam. That's another story. I abhor corruption and my feelings was that KJ should be banned)
Is this type future leader that we want, who someday might be PM?. I can conclude that the reasons that Mukhriz lost are due him not playing to the money politic game and he was not holding any post in the goverment or UMNO and people didn't really know his calibre.
5) Wanita: It's time somebody took over from Rafidah as she has been too long as the head and has no fresh ideas. Hopefully Shahrizat will lead the Wanita wing to greater heights with fresh and innovative ideas.
So in conclusion quite a well balance team except for KJ leading the Pemuda which I think will cause the fall of UMNO and Barisan in the next election.

Corporal Punishment
Well it had to happen. Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye advocate corporal punishment in school after counselling. He suggested it after a spate of gangsterism, bullying and even death.
I think it was late in coming but a welcome change. The kids nowadays are more daring than during my time. We had, especially me, problems but never this bad.The kids in our time, if get caught, will take the punishment and rarely complained to the parent as we are more afraid of the punishment that will be given out by our dad.
Nowadays the parents will lash out at the teacher even if his child is wrong. This is due to the inadequancy felt by the parents as they had to work and spend less time with their children.
So what do you all think? I think corporal punishment should be meted out by the disciplinary master after all the facts to the was investigated thoroughly. Counselling should be done prior to the punishment.

Musings on A Saturday evening
I don't really get it. My beloved Tun Dr Mahathir has pass down his legacy of a strong progressive country and what do the current leaders do but squabbling like small children not getting what they wanted. Only small amount of time were devoted to pressing matters concerning the country, eg, recession, corruption, decline in moral standard of our next generation, increase in heinous crimes etc.
Why don't they get out of their tight asses and do work as they are supposed to. We pay their salary and they are suppose to be our coolie but no they are more concern about party hopping, buying votes etc
We need strong leaders not weak like current leaders to address the contempt of certain quarters regarding the special purpose of the Royalty. Hidup Tuanku and be strong as most rakyat are behind you Tuanku. We won't compromise in this issue.

25 Random Things
I was asked recently to give a short note about 25 things that makes me tick. I thought might as well put it in my blog. Here goes:
1.I love women especially short ladies. All my exes, gf and wife are short.
2. I am part Bugis and part Jawa.
3. I love doing Family tree. Traced my father ancestry to Sultan Muzaffar Shah and my mother to Sultan Hamengku Buwono
4. Crazy about football especially Manchester United. Go Red Devils
5. Don't like to sleep in the dark. Always have one light on when sleeping.
6. Did my ortho masters but switch to occupational health when I have De Quervin tenosynovitis both hand
7. Love cuddling.
8. Love big bike. Owned a Kawasaki Vulcan 850 but had to sell it on gentle advise of my mother. Frequent accidents.
9. Love my work but could have done better. Also a workaholic.
10. Would love to stop smoking and frequent the gym but difficult to stop smoking as been smoking since Form 3
11. Had one year of self destructive mode ( just after my first divorced came through). Work only when needed and frequent disco, karaoke, night club and changing gf like no tomorrow but it all changes when my uncles intervenes and detox me with gentle and stern lectures. Good cop bad cop routine.
12.Have never been unfaithful to my exes and wife. I am only dangerous when single.
13.Used to drive like a pelesit but one incident cured me of that. Driving home one nite, I kissed the rear of a lorry and ended up in a ditch. When I emerged from the wreck intact the onlookers were amazed I survived as my car was like a crushed tin can. I learned my lesson and nowadays drive within speed limit.
14. I used to be wealthy in the 90's but with my flamboyant lifestyle, bad business dealings etc I crashed during the 1998 financial crisis. Nowadays I am frugal.
15.Love to have children with my wife especially daughter but tak ada rezeki lagi. Miss my 2 sons
16. Love cats. Used to have 12 cats but currently only 2.
17. Planning to get my diving licence in May . Plan to be in Tioman for a week.
18.Loves Masai, Johor. Laid-back and serene. No jams. Used to live in KL and every morning I curse the traffic jam.
19. Favourite pastime is eating especially teh tarik and cheese cake. Yearly cholesterol and angiogram are normal. Phew.
20.Never had fear of heights during growing up but had my first episode while on top of Eiffel Tower. Made a mistake of looking down. (they have grilled-like platform.) Woow was petrified and had to crawl back (macam Mr Bean ) to the lift with the encouragement of onlookers. 3/4 way had to be lifted to the lift. My most embarassing moment. But I cure myself by living on the 26th floor condo and looking down everyday. I worked offshore and has to do yearly medical safety test and one of the test is to jump safely from a height and can't afford to have gayat.
21. Love gardening especially orchid.
22. Movie freak but only watch at home. Dont like to go to theater. Have 2 big boxes full of DVD. Fav is sci-fi movie.
23.Loves the sea. Used to work as ship or oil platform medical officer. Would have continued working offshore if not from constant nagging of my mother to get a wife and increase her cucu brood.
24.Tried ganja once and fortunately I hate it.
25. Used to drink but stop 20 years ago after I woke up one day with god-awful hangover on somebody front lawn and cannot recollect what I did the nite before. I hate the sense of not in control and since then I taubat tak mau minum lagi.
So that's 25 of my moment in life. Have a lot more but I think that's enough for you to know a bit about me

Musings on a Monday
Yesterday was a tiring day. Sprin-cleaning the house. Never thought there can be so much dust. That's why all my family members are coughing and having the sniffles
Today had a n interesting call from Qualitas asking me to meet them to discuss the possibility of me crossing over to Qualitas. Will have luncheon with them this Thursday.
Happy day for me as Man Utd thrashed Chelsea 3-0 with goals coming from Vidic, Rooney and Barbetov. Currently lying 3rd with league leaders Liverpool. But Man Utd has 2 game in hand and can be league leader if they win the next 2 games
Sent my cat, Coco, to the vet as has abscess at the right paw. Kesian dia, tempang dua hari

Rezeki datang
Alhamdulillah during this financial chaos God seems to want to help me. My old boss, Dr Padzil called to discuss a proposal. He has 6 dialysis centre and wants to expand to Johor and wants me to JV with him. I scouted around and found a few potential sites and will start operation hopefully in March. Lega rasanya and hopefully this will last, not like my previous business ventures which went kaput after the aftermath of 1998 crash. Its not that I am very miskin. I still have 2 cars, a house, a new wife and other basic necessities in life but i want to provide a luxury for my wife and children especially now that Ezane is in college without any scholarship.

New Year Reolution
My first resolution I have achieved, i.e, to have a blog. My other resolutions are:
1) To increase my income. Eventhough I am a specialist but i answer to higher person, namely my boss, Dr Adnan. What to I am only a coolie but I have asked for an appointment to discuss an increase in my salary. Cross my fingers as I have an appointment this Tuesday
2) To have at least one child with my new wife this year. Been trying for a year but have a few complications on both side. I have a low sperm count ( probably due to excessive smoking and wearing tight jeans) and been taking anti-oxidant past few months. My wife pulak ada telur yang tak mature. Tengah on treatment. Insyaallah berjaya kali ni.
3) To stop smoking. Ini susah coz I have smoking since I was in Form 2. what to do as I was quite a rebel at that time.
4) To do more exercises

SMS Kelantan
I was there for only one year, i.e, Form 1 but a lot of experience from the school both good and bad. I was never really good with regimented lifestyle so I cabut. I was always hungry especially at night so one fine night I climbed over the fence and had a nice dinner outside. Since then I was hooked on climbing over the fence till one unfortunate and unforgettable night I wa caught by the warden. Nak kata apa tapi terketar2 le but I never expected to be slapped repeatedly by the warden. Only one idea came to my mind that night and that was to cabut. To go back home malu as my parents were placing high hopes on me. Then I decided to hitch-hike to Ipoh to see my grandma and ask for her wisdoms.
I had nice friends there but a few comes to mind. Zana coz I had a crush on her and Zaidi as he was good in Industrial Arts where-else I was hopeless. Zaidi came to my house during the last Hari Raya Qurban and he looks different as he became a bit montel (heehee....)

Happy New Year
Well the new year is here and this is one of my resolutions,i.e, to pen my thoughts and when I die at least there is my written thoughts legacy for my children.
I am currently working as an Occupational Health doctor and I can safely say that most Malaysians will say haa...what's that. Trust me to chose a career that is almost unknown and not rewarding financially but is close to my heart. So so laa.... boleh la hidup but only as middle income wage earner
I was doing quite well previously with my own two clinic but I became arrogant and recalcitrant. Refuse to admit mistakes and advise from friends. Due to financial shenannigan and flamboyant lifestyle, I crashed during the 1998 financial crisis and saddled with debts with whom hounded me till now. I was blacklisted but fortunately I was able to work and support myself. Well God has taught me a lesson which I will not forget
